collaboration, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/freemason.org\/?utm_source=IHPR&amp;utm_medium=press+release&amp;utm_campaign=9.20.23+Padres+M4M+release\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Masons of California<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are teaming up with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/giants\/community\/fund\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giants Community Fund<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a new way, with the largest pledge ever given by a foundation to the Giants Community Fund. Over the next three years, California Masons are committing $650,000 in support of community programs aimed at championing local youth, including Junior Giants, Junior Giants Schools, and the Giants Community Fund Academy programs.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Giving back to the community is fundamental to Freemasonry,\u201d said Doug Ismail, president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/masonicfoundation.org\">California Masonic Foundation<\/a>. \u201cThe Giants Community Fund has been a longtime partner of the Masons of California, and we are honored to be able to continue to support their mission while also expanding their programs to bring educational and leadership opportunities to more youth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1ce99f4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1ce99f4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This three-year pledge supports three distinct programs:\u00a0<\/p><ul style=\"font-size: 20px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><li style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/giants\/community\/junior-giants-leagues\">Junior Giants<\/a>:\u00a0<\/span>Now celebrating its 30th Anniversary, Junior Giants is a free, coed, and noncompetitive baseball and softball program for youth of all skill levels and backgrounds in underserved communities. Beyond learning the fundamentals of the game, youth are introduced to important lessons in health, education, bullying prevention and character development throughout the eight-week program. Since 2009, the Masons have facilitated\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/masons4mitts.org\/\">Masons4Mitts<\/a>, an annual fundraising effort that has provided more than 59,000 leather baseball mitts to Junior Giants throughout Northern California. This new commitment for 2024-2026 establishes the Masons as the Mitt Champion of the Giants Community Fund.<\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"font-size: 20px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><li style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/giants\/community\/fund\/junior-giants\/schools\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Junior Giants Schools<\/span><\/a>: This initiative brings free, activity-based programs directly to youth via in-school P.E. classes and after-school programs, making baseball more accessible than ever. The increased funding will help expand the program to reach more children whose socioeconomic situations may prohibit them from participating in sports programs.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"font-size: 20px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\"><li style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/giants\/community\/fund\/programs\/gcf-academy\">Giants Community Fund Academy Programs<\/a>:\u00a0<\/span>The Masons\u2019 pledge will fund the addition of a structured career and technical education (CTE) component to the Giants Community Fund Academy Programs, an effort with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and San Francisco Unified School District designed to support San Francisco\u2019s under-resourced communities. Over the next three years, a special CTE session for academy baseball and softball players will be added with the goal of addressing the perception gap that exists between students and pathways to CTE
